Pak Hok Pai - Chi Kung Studies

Our school is dedicated to the advancement of Tibetan White Crane (Pak Hok Pai) Kung Fu and Chi Kung studies.

We have three locations in Canada, two in Alberta (Edmonton and Sherwood Park) and one in Courtenay, British Columbia.

Tibetan White Crane (Pak Hok Pai) Kung Fu is a complete martial art system that integrates the “Si Ji Fa” (四擊法) or the Four Martial Arts Skills of Ti (踢) Kicking, Da (打) Striking, Shuai  (摔) Grappling and Throwing, and Na (拿) Seizing and Controlling.  The system also provides training in a variety of Chinese Weaponry including staff, and a variety of swords. Tibetan White Crane Kung Fu is known for its benefits to health, coordination and stamina and is well suited as a lifelong program for wellness and longevity.

If you are not familiar with our kung fu school and your first contact with us is online: We would be pleased to hear from you!  Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we will be more than happy to help.

Needle in Cotton chi kung

Min Lui jum

The Cotton Needle form, also called “Needle in Cotton”, or Min Lui Jum, is a Chi Kung set performed on 14 raised platforms.

Needle in Cotton contains combat techniques but is mainly performed for its health benefits as it's motions and breath-work have a healing effect on the body when performed correctly. The set is meditative in practice and develops agility, coordination and precision of aim and body position. Considered “peace through movement” the motions are slow, relaxed and in tune with the breath.

Soft as Cotton on the outside, yet strong like a steel needle on the inside

Our Tibetan White Crane (Pak Hok Pai) school is affiliated with the Ng Siu Chung Martial Arts Institute of Hong Kong.
